They left us,
their classmates, family and friends,
to serve in their behalf
They were patriots, heroes now fallen.
Their flag now at half-mast
in our memories they stand tall
Remember, they died in battle for us all
they swore allegiance to this great land
lived that oath to their last breath,
heartbeat and final look
at the battlefield of their death.
in their honor we now stand
and salute their sacrifice
though now fallen, they stand with God
at attention, straight as a rod.
they must live on in heart and mind,
never forget but always remind,
one and all that they gave their life,
an ultimate sacrifice
So, we may live
free
